NE affordable house builder invests further to support growth

Newcastle-based affordable house builder Adderstone Living has announced several senior appointments as it continues to invest to support growth and expand operations.

Jamie Stainthorpe joins as design manager with a brief to develop further the company’s choice of contemporary affordable properties for social housing providers across the North of England. He brings over 15 years’ experience in residential and commercial property development, utility coordination, architectural and civil engineering design to the role.

Senior quantity surveyor Graham Murray, project manager Michael Fucile and assistant project manager, Gareth Taylor, who will all provide additional technical expertise, insight and skills, have also joined the Jesmond-based company.

Currently employing 30 people and part of the Adderstone Group, Adderstone Living is committed to tackling the housing crisis, working with social housing providers to deliver affordable new homes. Its ‘land-led’ solutions include sourcing suitable land, scheme design and securing planning permission to enable quality homes to be delivered.

Managing director Stephen McCoy said a resilient commercial performance is being driven by securing new business and development land, organic growth, skills’ investment and the expansion of operations into other regions notably Yorkshire and the North West, where there is strong demand for high-quality affordable homes.
