Broader appeal, greater agility – new entry-level A6 e-tron and A6 e-tron quattro models launched

• New entry-level A6 e-tron lowers price point to £62,500 (MDP) and is available to order October 31
• Single rear-mounted motor and smaller 83kWh battery deliver maximum of 326PS and give A6 Sportback e-tron and A6 Avant e-tron range of up to 382 miles and 361 miles respectively

Milton Keynes, October 29, 2024 – Audi is further enhancing the appeal of its all-new A6 e-tron, which already combines exceptional design and technology with a 463-mile maximum driving. From today, new 326PS Sportback and Avant models equipped with a single motor and smaller 83kWh battery will offer an attractive new entry point to the range. They launch simultaneously with A6 e-tron quattro variants delivering 462PS from a twin-motor configuration that ensures the many advantages of all-wheel-drive are no longer exclusively available to drivers of the flagship S6 e-tron. The new entry-level A6 e-tron models are priced from £62,500 (MDP), and their e-tron quattro counterparts from £75,000 (MDP). All are available to order in the UK from October 31, and will reach their first customers by the end of the first quarter of 2025.

A6 e-tron: entry-level model boasts 382-mile range
The state-of-the-art foundations of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) enable the A6 e-tron to reap the benefits of the most advanced electrification technology. The new entry-level model, simply called A6 e-tron, combines a single electric motor delivering up to 326PS (with launch control) to the rear wheels with an 83kWh battery (75.8 kWh net) developed specifically for the PPE.

Aided by exceptionally streamlined bodies, particularly in the case of the Sportback which is notable as the most aerodynamic production Audi to date, this combination can deliver a maximum driving range of up to 382 miles in the A6 Sportback e-tron and up to 361 miles in the A6 Avant e-tron, depending on specification.

Top speed in both Sportback and Avant variants is 130mph, and a 0-62mph time of 7.0 seconds can be further reduced to 6.0 seconds in each case by engaging the standard launch control function.

Combining a maximum charging capacity of 225 kW with a powerful 800-volt electrical system, the new entry-level A6 Sportback e-tron and A6 Avant e-tron achieve an impressive compromise between range and charging performance. Using an AC charging station or home charger delivering up to 11 kW, they can be fully charged from flat in eight hours. Using an HPC fast-charger, they can recharge from 10-80% in just 21 minutes.

A6 e-tron quattro: all-wheel-drive added to core line-up
In the new A6 Sportback e-tron quattro and A6 Avant e-tron quattro, the rear-mounted motor is combined with an additional asynchronous unit on the front axle, forming the basis of the all-wheel-drive configuration. The upgrade boosts total power to 462PS (with launch control), and in combination with a larger 100kWh battery enables the pair to cover more ground even more rapidly and surefootedly. The A6 Sportback e-tron quattro can travel for up to 438 miles between charges, closely followed by the A6 Avant e-tron quattro with a maximum 415-mile range, depending on specification. In both body styles, 0-62mph takes just 4.7 seconds, or 4.5 seconds with the help of launch control. Top speed is 130mph.

With a higher 270 kW charging capacity, but also a larger 100 kWh battery delivering a greater range, the A6 e-tron quattro can restore enough power to cover up to 192 miles in just 10 minutes, and can also power up from 10-80% of full capacity in 21 minutes.

A6 e-tron family: the full picture
The latest variants slot into the range on either side of the 380PS (with launch control) A6 e-tron performance, and below the flagship 550PS (with launch control) S6 e-tron, both of which spearheaded the model line’s UK launch in September. Like the A6 e-tron performance models all the new arrivals are available with a choice of Sport, S line or Edition 1 specification options.

Externally, Sport versions make appropriate impact with the help of 20-inch alloy wheels, a distinctive rear LED light strip and illuminated rear Audi rings. Inside, the curved Audi Multimedia Interface (MMI) panoramic display housing the 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and the 14.5-inch MMI touch screen is one of many highlights. It grants access to a wealth of infotainment features, including the new Audi Assistant and Audi app store.  

S line specification further intensifies the dynamic look of the A6 with trademark S line body styling, privacy glass and special interior detailing, including a new three-spoke steering wheel flattened at the top and bottom. 

Taking S line specification as its impressive basis, the Edition 1 option adds a black styling package and includes an upgrade to 21-inch wheels, and to Matrix LED headlamps incorporating a range of active light signatures. Inside, a 10.9-inch MMI front passenger touch display and several additional driver assistance features elevate the technology offering and are complemented by further comforts such as extended trim in sustainable Dinamica microfibre, steering wheel heating and auxiliary air conditioning, enabling pre-travel cabin heating or cooling.
