KEEPING MUM AT HARDWICK HALL THIS MOTHER’S DAY…
A TOP North East hotel is preparing to celebrate mums, at an elegant lunch time event to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Hardwick Hall Hotel at Sedgefield, County Durham is one of the region’s leading venues for everything from awards ceremonies to large-scale celebrations.
But now the attention is turning to one of the most important days of the year, the opportunity to show appreciation and say thanks to mums.
On Sunday 30 March the hotel is hosting a special three course Sunday lunch, held in both the Boyne Suite and the Coleman Suite, with live piano music and a gift for each mother.
Lunch will be served between noon and 3pm and cost just £29.95 per adult and £16.95 for children aged between three and 12-years-old.
The delicious menu includes starters of rose infused melon with passionfruit and blood orange gel, leek and potato soup with crispy spring onions, giant Yorkshire pudding with an onion jus, traditional prawn cocktail or sweet potato risotto as well as a parmesan cheese souffle option.
Guests can enjoy a main course of Durham beef, roast turkey breast, leg of lamb or roast pork loin with all the trimmings with a fish option of red mullet with buttered kale and langoustine bisque and a vegetarian spiced butternut squash and lentil pie.
Then – for anyone who has room – they will be able to help themselves to the dessert buffet, followed by tea and coffee.
