A BUSINESS breakfast briefing will explore the importance of sales and marketing next month.

The free event, organised and hosted by Sunderland wealth management company Northern Spire, will be held at Ramside Hall Hotel and will feature a panel of experts who will discuss how sales and marketing can grow your business.

David Cook, founder and Managing Partner of Northern Spire, explained: “Our September event is the latest in a long line of our briefings for local businesses and over 150 tickets have been snapped up already.

“As usual we have some top panellists to discuss our topic – sales and marketing should always be a top priority for any business wanting to grow.”

David will host the briefing, which will start at 8.30am on Friday, September 11 at Ramside Hall Hotel.

The panel for The Importance of Sales and Marketing session will include Neil Stephenson, owner of Stephenson Ventures, an investment and consulting firm; Sarah O’Mahoney, Director at Bradley O’Mahoney, a public relations, branding and marketing agency; Phil Coverdale, Chief Executive at Cravens, a digital marketing agency, and Simon West, co-founder of boutique recruitment agency Blair West.

Speaking about the event, Sarah O’Mahoney, director at Bradley O’Mahoney, said: “Whatever stage a company is at in its journey, its reputation is, first and foremost, the most important factor in determining how successful it will be in the long term.

“Whether the aim is increased sales, third party investment, or a sale of the firm, business owners must ensure they not only position themselves well in the market but that their behaviours and actions mirror their brand values. If the two are not aligned a company’s reputation is at risk.”

David added: “Our panel brings together four experienced North East business leaders who have successfully built brands, generated sales and grown businesses. Expect practical insights, honest discussion and plenty of ideas you can take back to your own business.

“As always, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to network with fellow business owners over tea and coffee before and after the panel discussion.

Places are limited and there will be a Question Time-style Q&A session where audience members can ask any questions they might have.”
