Plans are underway for a spectacular weekend full of performances, storytelling and entertainment after dark, as The Alnwick Garden gears up to celebrate a landmark anniversary in style.
Live music, fairground rides, games and performers, including a bubbleologist, will set the atmosphere for a special anniversary weekend across three days from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October. Evenings will culminate in a dazzling firework display from the pyrotechnic experts behind Kynren.
Visitors are invited to take a journey back in time to explore how the popular tourist attraction came to be, with unseen footage from The Garden’s creation streamed on a huge screen in front of The Sage Wealth Management Grand Cascade.
The Garden will continue the celebrations into the evening with fire jugglers and L.E.D performers taking centre stage, after which the event will culminate in a striking water display at the Grand Cascade, incorporating lights, lasers and show-stopping fireworks.

“Over the past year, we’ve heard from former colleagues and friends of The Garden, from those who were there when the doors first opened to the teams who helped make much-loved attractions like the Poison Garden and Lilidorei a reality.
“Marking a quarter of a century is a momentous occasion which deserves a celebration to match, and I believe the team have outdone themselves with our anniversary weekend. From enchanting entertainers to a dazzling firework and light display after dark, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
Over the past 25 years, The Alnwick Garden has contributed £400million to the local economy, and has helped put Northumberland and the wider North East region on a global stage, welcoming visitors from around the world. It is also recognised as a pioneer for sustainable tourism, and a leader in climate action.
A variety of street food and drink vendors will set up at The Garden across the weekend, serving pizza, hot dogs, waffles and Pimms, among others.
Day tickets purchased for Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October include access to the evening entertainment, with entry to The Garden from 10am to 8:15pm, while evening tickets are on sale for £10 for those who wish to attend from 5pm to 8:15pm.
