Latimer Hinks, one of County Durham’s longest established law firms, has announced a sponsorship deal for local cricket.
The Darlington-based solicitors has signed up as Cliffe Cricket Club’s main sponsor in a two-year deal.
The Latimer Hinks logo will be featured on the front of new whites for both Cliffe’s first and second teams for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Anne Elliott, Latimer Hinks CEO, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring Cliffe Cricket Club. We know how important the club is in encouraging people to take up sport and to continue to play through from grassroots to top flight.
“The club has an enviable reputation for producing talented young players so we may well have the stars of the future playing in the new Latimer Hinks’ shirts.”
Club secretary Richard Mallender said: “Cliffe Cricket Club is extremely grateful to Latimer Hinks for its generous support and we’re looking forward to a fruitful partnership for both parties.
“It’s a very welcome cash injection which will be used entirely for club development, including helping to fund an outdoor artificial practice facility.”
Cliffe, based near Piercebridge on the Yorkshire side of the River Tees, has two teams playing in the Darlington and District League. Although the club is based in Yorkshire, many members are from the Durham side of the river.
Anne added: “Cliffe has already enjoyed considerable success and we’re hoping our sponsorship deal spurs them on to even greater results on the field as well as helping to fund much-needed facilities at the club.”
