Collections of garden waste re-start next week across Hambleton.
They will continue until 31 March when the new chargeable subscription service commences.
All residents are reminded that subscriptions to the scheme are now being taken either by logging on to hambleton.gov.uk, contacting the council on 01609 779977 or calling into a council office in Northallerton, Easingwold or Stokesley. Households can join the scheme at any point in the year but the £35 fee relates to collections from April to March and there will be no discounts for joining mid year. Households that do not wish to join the scheme do not need to do anything.
Garden waste collections are suspended during the winter months and the teams are allocated other duties – over the last two weeks alone they have collected 805 black sacks of litter and 3.2 tonnes of fly tipping from Hambleton road sides.
