ONE OF THE NORTH EAST’s leading hospitality companies has won a supporting role, as part of the region’s first international film festival.
The Newcastle International Film Festival is taking place from 29 March to 1 April, showcasing movies from around the world which will then compete for a range of honours.
And although it won’t be appearing on the big screen, Durham-based Ramside Estates will be playing a pivotal part, after agreeing to provide the catering at a number of events.
Ramside Estates – which includes Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa, Hardwick Hall Hotel and Bowburn Hall- also owns quirky Newcastle bar, Colonel Porter’s at Dean Street which will host the VIP first night party.
Following a screening of the original 35 mm film of the1971 classic Get Carter – thought to be the last version in this format – at the Tyneside Cinema. VIP guests will attend an exclusive, invitation only, opening party at Colonel Porter’s.
Ramside Estates – which also runs events including the Lobster Ball and the Oyster Festival – will also be providing the catering as part of their sponsorship at other key events during the run of the festival.
John Adamson, Managing Director of Ramside Estates, said he was pleased to giving his support.
