A Teesside insurance broker is starting the new year on a high after the appointment of a number of new team members.
Erimus Insurance Brokers, which is based in Stockton, has recently taken on five new members of staff, including two apprentices, as it prepares for a change of name following an acquisition.
Managing director Lee Elgie said: “Our new team members are a great mix of experience and youth, allowing us to continue to grow the business and invest in the future of the region.
“Of the five new starters, three are stepping into totally new roles: Rhianna McHale and Ibby Matloob are joining us as apprentice insurance brokers, while Ed Emerson is stepping into the newly-created post of development executive.
“Meanwhile, Hannah Gardner and Harry Wood are replacing some of our account brokers who have recently retired, bringing a wealth of experience with them.”
Rhianna, who is new to the industry, added: “I’m so excited to be joining Erimus and starting out on my career in insurance. The team are so helpful and friendly, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to be joining such a strong industry with an exciting future.”
Erimus, which is now listed as a £28m gross written premium (GWP) broker, was acquired by insurance broking, risk management services and consulting firm Gallagher in June 2022, with its name changing to reflect the acquisition later this year.
Lee added: “The Erimus management team remains unchanged and we have a long-term vision to assist our fantastic staff to establish and grow Gallagher’s brand in the Tees Valley and the wider region, from our office in Stockton.
“Clients continue to be looked after by the same team – on the same telephone numbers and email addresses – exercising the same due diligence and delivering the same great personal service to which they are accustomed.
“We’ve got an exciting year ahead and I’m delighted that we have the best team in place to support us on our journey.”
