North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

A string of achievements marks further growth for Durham IT professionals

Following a string of achievements and rising demand for its services, a Durham-based IT service provider is preparing for further growth.

After experiencing 25 per cent turnover increase during the last 12 months, Concept IT, which is based in Tanfield Lea Business Centre, is preparing to welcome new staff to the team following an office expansion.

The firm, which works with well-known North East small and medium sized businesses in numerous industries, including third sector, healthcare and finance, is looking to appoint five new members to the team, including two technicians, an account manager, a community manager and a service dispatcher, to meet an increasing need for its expert services.

Speaking about the growth of the firm, Managing Director Kevin Embleton, said: “At Concept IT we care about our clients, we get to know them and become part of their team, and as we want them to succeed, we do things properly, and ethically, the first time. This is why we continually improve our services and growing the team will help us to do just that.”

One of Concept IT’s latest accomplishments was achieving the UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) certified ISO (Information Security Management System) 27001:2013 accreditation. The company is one of six managed service providers in the region with both ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 9001 certifications.

“We are thrilled to have received this accreditation,” said Kevin. “We have shown that we are experts in our industry and that our services and products meet the high standards of these renowned organisations. Our work to continually improve our operations and system management provides reassurance to clients and highlights that we are capable and reliable.”

Over the next 12 months Kevin and the team are aiming to work towards the ISO 22301:2019, Business Continuity Management, and ISO 20000, Service Delivery, standards.

Another noteworthy achievement for the firm is being the only North East company to be named as one of Europe’s premier Managed IT Service Providers (MSP) in the inaugural Channel Futures European Partners 51 (EP 51) rankings.

Kevin said: “This ranking highlights the service excellence and close working relationships we have with our clients which allows us to provide them with the right solution with the right support at the right time and for the right price.”

Concept IT has also been shortlisted in the Best Service Desk CX category in the Service Desk Institute’s IT Service and Support Awards 2020, showcasing the first-class service the company provides.

Furthermore the ethical IT business has cemented its commitment to the local community by becoming a Club Partner and sponsoring the new warm up tops of the recently established Teesside Lions Basketball Club.

Kevin added: “It’s been a fantastic year for Concept IT and I’m incredibly proud of the team and what we have managed to achieve, but the best is yet to come as we have some exciting plans in the pipeline, including expanding our cyber security services and much more, so watch this space.”
