A team member at Peterlee based claims management firm, Albany Assistance recently made a very personal donation to the Little Princess Trust when she made the brave decision to cut off and donate her ponytail.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment, alopecia and many other diseases which result in hair loss.
Speaking of her selfless donation, Jamie-Lee Vayro-Lennard from Albany’s Customer Services department said, “I’d heard about the Little Princess Trust on the news a couple of years ago and have been thinking about donating my hair ever since”
“I really wanted to help the Trust, so I finally took the plunge and got my ponytail cut off to donate. I hope that this small act can help the Trust to continue the great work that they do, and also inspire others to do the same!”
Jamie-Lee’s contribution is just one of the many charity activities Albany Assistance staff are taking part in for a range of charities, including their nominated charity – Hartlepool and District Hospice, to which an impressive £548 has already been donated.
