The Hemlington Family Fun Day will be centred on St Timothy’s Church Hall and Hemlington Library in the Viewley Centre and the nearby shopping centre and lake area, this Saturday, July 4, from 10am to 2pm.

There will be plenty on offer for youngsters to enjoy for free including a climbing wall, bouncy castle and fairground ride, all sponsored by Erimus Housing.

Families will be greeted by the Town Crier and will be entertained by magic, a balloon artist, dancing and a wide range of stalls, with plenty of refreshments on offer.

The Community Council’s grand raffle and tombola will be raising funds to create a permanent heart shaped floral bed in memory of Andrew Corfield.

Chair of Hemlington Community Council Gill Baines said: “This is truly a community event organised by local residents, church and councillors with local groups contributing to the stalls.

“It’s been great to hear how many people in Hemlington are eagerly looking forward to the day.”
