This June will see The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award celebrating its Diamond Jubilee.

And to mark the event in North Tyneside, the council is holding an event on June 30 to bring together those who have taken part over the last six decades.

Before the event takes place, the local authority is appealing to residents to send in copies of photographs or press cuttings of them taking part in the programme.

Anyone who would like to contribute their own stories or photographs is asked to get in touch, by calling (0191) 643 8587, emailing helen.jarvis@northtyneside.gov.uk, or via Twitter @NTynesideDofE.
