1879 Events Management, part of leading leisure brand, SoL, has created four bespoke packages specifically for the Sunderland International Airshow 2016.

The landmark event, one of the largest free shows of its kind in Europe, returns to Seaburn and Roker on the North East coast, with three days of airborne acrobatics, displays and entertainment fromFriday July 22.

As part of its contract 1879 Events Management, which also manages dining and events at the Stadium of Light and National Glass Centre, Sunderland, will be helping to cater for more than a million visitors who are expected to attend.

This includes offering a variety of on-site hospitality packages, ranging from fine-dining to family-focussed, where guests can sit in the lap of luxury and enjoy all of the action taking place in the sky.

It all starts on Friday July 22, when 1879 Events Management will be launching its aptly-named Take Off Marquee Package.  This includes access to private viewing areas, a welcome Prosecco cocktail, use of a private gin bar and Pimms van, live music and a BBQ station.

On Saturday and Sunday (July 23 and 24), when there will be almost 12 hours of flying displays, guests can relax in an outdoor viewing area furnished with deck chairs and indulge in a selection of street food as part of the Gold Package in the Lancaster Lounge, which is open to all ages.

Families can also opt for the tailored Family Zone Package, which includes street food and a selection of activities such as interactive arcades, bungee trampolines, five-a-side football, zorb football and a surf machine in the enclosed setting of Roker Park.

Alternatively, adults can upgrade to the Platinum Hospitality Package in the Black Cats Lounge, complete with a Champagne and canapés reception, four-course British grand buffet, live music, access to a private gin bar and Pimms van, a host on site to add to the party atmosphere and use of an exclusive private viewing area in Cliffe Park.
