ONE of the North East’s best loved venues is giving a gift of its own to wedding couples.
For one month only, Lumley Castle Hotel, Chester-le-Street, is giving them the chance to say “I do” at short notice.
The historic venue has a limited number of dates still available for weddings next month (March) which it is offering at the special price of £3,995.
Couples will be able to tie the knot in the historic Baron’s Hall or exquisite Garter Room, with a Bucks Fizz reception and three course wedding breakfast created by chefs at the hotel’s renowned Black Knight restaurant.
Place cards, menus and personalised order of service are all included in the cost, along with table linen, chair covers and a floral display for the top table.
A hot and cold buffet is included for evening guests and the happy couple will also be given a complimentary feature bedroom within the castle itself, with breakfast the following morning.
“And, of course, they will have our stunning gardens – which are heavily planted with spring bulbs – as the backdrop for the wedding photos,” said Tony Gill, operations manager at the four-star hotel, which celebrates its 630th birthday this year.
“It’s not unusual for weddings at Lumley Castle to be booked as much as two years in advance,” he added, “but it is perfectly possible for us to create spectacular events at short notice so we would urge couples to get in touch as soon as possible.”
The offer only applies to weddings taking place in March 2018 and is subject to a minimum of 60 day and 60 evening guests.
