Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

CROWDS gathered at Stockton High Street were treated to a performance by ‘The Balloonatic’ on Saturday (3 December).

Using his giant festive balloon and a Segway, the Balloonatic was performing as part of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s winter festival, Stockton Sparkles.

The audience were taken on a playful journey of over-imagination by Steve Cousins with his act that delivered an original comedy routine and left the Stockton audience of all ages laughing and smiling.

Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: “There have been so many fantastic street theatre events for Stockton Sparkles and this one is right up there as one of the best.

“It was a hilarious performance and people seemed to be really enjoying both themselves and being in Stockton to see all of the fantastic things that are going on as we build up to Christmas.

“There are plenty more street theatre events to come from Stockton Sparkles so I’d encourage everyone to check out the full programme and come down with their family and friends.”
