Local housebuilder, Barratt Homes, has created additional outside space for pupils at Carlton-in-Snaith Community Primary School with the donation of a fence constructed around the school’s outdoor area.

  • The fencing, erected by Barratt Homes’ construction team during half term, has secured a large area of outdoor space in the school grounds, giving pupils more room to enjoy
  • It will also provide additional security for the school, creating a safe and accessible area for the whole school to use
  • The donation comes alongside the launch of Barratt Homes’ Carlton Green development, in Carlton, near Selby, which features a stylish collection of two, three and four bedroom properties, with the first homes ready for this summer
  • With a number of local schools nearby, including Carlton-in-Snaith Community Primary, and handy commuter links to Doncaster, York and Hull, Carlton Green is ideal for both professionals and families alike
  • New homes are available from £156,995

Jon Watson, Headteacher at Carlton-in-Snaith Community Primary School, commented:

“We are so pleased with Barratt Homes’ donation. The fencing will make a huge difference to the children, as it will give them access to outdoor space we didn’t previously have. We’re looking forward to the children being able to enjoy the new outdoor areas as we move into the spring and summer terms.”

Leonie Gilbertson, Sales Manager at Carlton Green, commented:

“We’re delighted to help the local primary school near our newly launched development, Carlton Green. We will continue to offer our support to the surrounding area and work with local community groups and schools as we welcome more families to our homes in the area.”
