Garden waste and recycling collections will be one day late across Hambleton district next week – because of the bank holiday.
Collections roll forward one day to cope with the bank holiday on Monday 29 May – with Friday collections taking place on Saturday 3 June.
Alternatively collection dates can be checked on the councils’ website – hambleton.gov.uk
Residents are reminded that they must have subscribed to the new chargeable garden waste subscription service otherwise their green bin will not be emptied. To subscribe log on to hambleton.gov.uk, contact the council on 01609 779977 or call into a council office in Northallerton, Easingwold or Stokesley. Households can join the scheme at any point in the year but the £35 fee relates to collections from April to March and there will be no discounts for joining mid year.
