Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 09.29.45Leading water management company, Biochemica UK Ltd is set to showcase its services as it makes its inaugural appearance at a unique potato industry event next week.

With its headquarters in Billingham, Biochemica specialises in providing water and wastewater treatment services and chemical products to its nationwide client base and will join a host of companies and trade bodies from across the potato industry and its supply chain to exhibit at the upcoming BP2015 show.

The biennial event, hosted by AHDB Potatoes promises a wide range of seminars from industry experts, academics and representatives from industry bodies alongside a record number of new exhibitors – including Biochemica.

Taking centre stage at the show will be Biochemica’s environmentally-friendly business stream, Ecochemica which offers a new generation of eco-friendly services and specialist chemicals under its exclusive EcoChem range.

Commercial and Technical Director at Biochemica, Dr Tim Robinson will be available during the event to demonstrate EcoChem products in action with a focus on their wastewater treatment functions. Commenting, he said: “Our Ecochemica division is committed to continually investing in and seeking out exciting new environmentally-friendly chemical products and technologies to offer our UK-wide client base, whether in the potato industry or the many other sectors we work with.

“We also have the ability to develop our own innovations as we strive to improve the way the water industry operates, from bespoke services to our own chemical formulations.

“Many of our EcoChem products are exclusive to Biochemica as the only UK-based supplier and we are constantly enhancing our offering. The range includes a host of chemical products that apply to the potato industry from EcoChem Biocides and EcoChem Bacteria to Organic Coagulants and Oil-free Polymers, all of which are designed to offer greener alternatives to more conventional water treatment chemicals, without compromising on performance.

“We already work with a number of organisations within the potato industry and the wider food process sector which utilise our EcoChem technologies, so BP2015 is the ideal platform for us to showcase what we can do to support other companies to operate more sustainably.”

Biochemica technical specialists will be on hand with Dr Robinson throughout the event to discuss the company’s wider range of water management capabilities applicable to the potato industry, including onsite technical servicing, water sampling and analysis, wastewater treatment services and water reuse, Legionella control and monitoring services, cooling water treatment and chemical supply.

Dr Robinson added: “This is the first time Biochemica has exhibited at the event, having visited in previous years. The team and I are looking forward to meeting those within the industry and its supply chain with an interest in how we can support their water management challenges, particularly in the areas of cost reduction and process optimisation.

“I would encourage existing clients, fellow exhibitors and visitors alike to visit our stand for a one-to-one discussion and demonstration with myself or one of our specialists and we would be happy to pre-arrange meetings to take place during the show.”

BP2015 is free to attend and takes place over Thursday 12 and Friday 13 November 2015 at Harrogate International Centre, Central Harrogate, HG1 5LA. To register for a visitor ticket and to find out more about the event, visit www.bp2015.info
