ByCharley Williams

Jan 7, 2017

The Gentlemen’s Breakfast in Durham Market Hall will welcome The Right Reverend Paul Butler, Bishop of Durham, as its speaker in January.

The Bishop will be the special guest of organisers Durham Markets, Café Cenno and Age UK County Durham and will be speaking to the group and answering their questions, as well as enjoying a cooked breakfast.

The Gentlemen’s Breakfast takes place on the third Wednesday of each month, this month on Wednesday 18th, from 9.30am.  Organised as part of Age UK County Durham’s ‘Come Eat Together’ scheme, it is open to any men aged 50 or over, and each month an invited speaker joins the assembled group.

Colin Wilkes, Managing Director of Durham Markets, commented: “We’ve managed to bring in speakers from all walks of life.  These fascinating speakers, combined with the great company and a hearty breakfast, make this a really popular monthly ‘get-together’.  We’re all really looking forward to hearing the Bishop of Durham in such an intimate and relaxed setting.”

Numbers for the Breakfast are limited, and the Breakfast on Wednesday 18th January is expected to be booked earlier than normal.  To reserve a place, please call Age UK County Durham on 0191 374 6577 or email cet@ageukcountydurham.org.uk.
