Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Blyth Company Ups Its Game

A national management support company based in Blyth has revealed new plans.  They’re aiming to expand their services to businesses and organisations (especially small and growing local enterprises), helping them avoid the many pitfalls associated with ever changing legislation. Key to their expansion is the recruitment of Jonathan Bishop a former lawyer as a new member of the team.

Bryan Conway founded the business over 30 years ago as a quality assurance support company.  Since founding the company it has evolved to include support for other management disciplines and has helped businesses of all sizes meet the challenges of changing legislation and standards that are directly relevant to them.  Now as well as quality assurance management the company, Corporate Management Support (CMS) also helps businesses with issues such as risk assessments, environmental, health & safety, personnel and product conformity management.

With Jonathan joining the team the strategy of the company going forward is to rebrand with a name change to Bishop & Co LLP.

Bryan says, “Legislation can be a complex issue for many companies.  With new mandatory requirements coming in so often, it’s easy to run into problems.  It can be a huge headache for business owners.  This is where we come in.  Bringing Jonathan on board, who already has a massive skill-set, means we’ll be able to provide even better support services for many years to come.  In fact, Jonathan has already passed his Lead Assessor qualification, despite being with CMS for less than 12 months – testimony to his abilities.”

Jonathan, is already an accomplished health & safety lawyer of 25 years standing.  Having spent many years fighting personal injury cases, he’s now doing a 180-degree professional turn and landing on the side of protecting businesses and he’s looking forward to turning the spotlight of his expertise onto unscrambling the jargon of legislation and standards.  With Jonathan’s legal experience, and Bryan’s standards experience, they’ll be able to identify exactly what businesses need to do to comply with the law as well as the best way for them to do it.

Jonathan says, “working with Bryan, for me is ideal”.  With over 30 years of experience in this area, Bryan has unequalled knowledge.  I’m keen to take Bishop & Co forward and help businesses avoid the problems I have dealt with in the past that can occur with legislative compliance, standards and due diligence.  It’s the role I’ve been looking for.”

Jonathan went on to say that, CMS as a Management Support Organisation do not just tell you what to do, we will show you how to do it and we will do it with you.  Bishop & Co., will take this principle forward.

Bishop & Co. will also be offering Risk Management and other courses relevant to everyday business issues, with new team member, Jonathan, taking a leading role in the training delivery.  Businesses in Blyth and beyond can rest assured there is expert help available from the Bishop & Co. team.
