A TEAM of young people from Hemlington’s Linx project are to brave the bracing North Sea to raise money for Comic Relief 2015.
The sponsored dip will take place at Redcar Beach on Wednesday, April 8, at about 2.15pm, with ten teenagers and two staff taking part.
Hemlington Detached Youth Work Project Ltd, based at the Recreation Centre on Cass House Road, receives funding from Comic Relief.
Tamara Robinson, a youth worker from Linx, said: “The young people benefit greatly and have been enthusiastic about giving something back.”
The group will be going for a fish and chip lunch and making a visit to the amusement arcades before the big dip.
