A LEADING North-East venue is giving brides-to-be the chance to trade in their traditional wedding breakfast for afternoon tea.

Ramside Hall Hotel, County Durham, is running a Summer Marquee Afternoon Tea package, giving couples and their guests the chance to indulge in afternoon tea on the big day.

The wedding reception, which will be held in an outdoor marquee, gives brides and grooms the chance to celebrate in the grounds of one of the region’s most picturesque venues throughout the summer months.

The package, which caters for 60 day time guests and 100 evening guests, includes a dedicated wedding co-ordinator and a host of added extras such as a red carpet arrival and reception drink, afternoon tea with a glass of wine and a glass of sparkling wine for the toast.

The evening celebration includes a buffet and a disco and gives guests direct access to Ramside Hall Hotel’s extensive gardens and views of its championship golf course.

The Summer Marquee Afternoon Tea package, priced at £3200, also includes a complimentary overnight stay for the bride and groom on the evening of the wedding in one of the venue’s junior suites.

It is available in May and September 2015 and on other limited dates throughout the summer.
