Bristol Flyers confirm Jordan Nicholls return

Bristol Flyers have confirmed the return of Jordan Nicholls for the 2018-19 season.

The 24-year-old returns for his third year in the BBL, having previously played in NBL Division One for Reading Rockets and Team Solent Kestrels.

The 6’1″ guard was also a product of the Loughborough University basketball programme.

“I feel like I’ve made a home for myself in Bristol,” Nicholls told bristolflyers.co.uk.

“Coach Kapoulas is very particular on his coaching methods and I feel like that’s helped improve small parts of my game.

“I’ve been here for two years now, so I know the system and I know the styles that Coach wants us to play.

“I’m looking to bring the same energy that I’ve brought to every practice and game to help put our team in the best position to win.

“As a team we want to make the play-offs and finish higher than we did last year.

“To finish in the top four would be a massive goal for us and I feel like that’s what we’ve got to aim for seeing as we’ve improved every year so far.”

Head coach Andreas Kapoulas added: “Jordan is one of our domestic players in the team who has shown commitment to the club over the last two years,” added

“He wants to make Bristol home and stay involved with our programme in years to come.

“The first two seasons in the league have been important to his development, despite not getting as much opportunity to get on court.

“He has elevated his understanding of the game and has helped our team both on and off the court with his effort and commitment, day in day out.

“It’s great to see him back and continue to work with him as we are building our team for the upcoming season.”
