Bristol Flyers land Levi Bradley

Bristol Flyers have acquired American forward Levi Bradley on a one-year deal.
The 22-year-old joins the Flyers out of Northern Illinois University and signs his first professional contract with the club.

Bradley made 132 appearances for the Huskies over his four-year collegiate career, breaking the school record for consecutive games played, having never missed a game in his NIU career.

Last season Bradley was ranked 13th in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) in scoring with 14.4 points per game, scoring in double figures 26 times, including six games of 20-plus points.

The 6’7″ forward becomes the tenth player to commit to Coach Kapoulas roster ahead of the 2019-20 British Basketball League (BBL) season.

“It’s a dream to sign my first professional contract with the Flyers,” said Bradley.

“The BBL is a competitive league and I’ve always wanted to go to England so it’s something I’m really excited for.

“I spoke to Coach Kapoulas a few times on the phone and we had a long conversation on how he thinks I can help the team this year.

“He told me he wants me to be a leader both offensively and defensively and bring that energy that’s necessary to win games.

“I can’t wait to get to meet the rest of the team and pick their minds. It’s going to be my first year as a pro so I’m really excited.”

Speaking on his new addition, Flyers Head Coach Andreas Kapoulas said: “Levi is a player that will make an impact on both ends of the court to help our team in a number of ways.

“He is a long, athletic forward with an effective and efficient inside-out game.

“His stats in his junior and senior year demonstrate his consistency in a very strong competitive conference.

“He is competitive with a great work ethic and has a lot of potential to improve further. We are looking forward to him joining us for the season ahead.”
