A ‘Mortgage Review Week’ is set to help people across the Tees Valley understand more about getting onto the property ladder.

Darlington Building Society is hosting a number of sessions during the first week of June at its Cockerton, Middlesbrough, Guisborough, Northallerton, Yarm and Tubwell Row branches.

The sessions are open to anyone, not just the Society’s members, with any questions regarding the steps involved in getting a mortgage.

First time buyers are invited to come along for a ‘Mortgage Health Check’ to see if they can afford to buy a house with sound advice on saving and budgeting.

Colin Fyfe, Chief Executive of Darlington Building Society, said: “The mortgage review week invites anyone with any mortgage-related questions to pop into one of our branches. Our experts will be on hand to help, especially for first time buyers who are unsure how to manage their finances in order to get onto the property ladder.

“Darlington Building Society understands the steps to buying a property can be a daunting and confusing process and we hope the sessions are informative and helpful to all those who attend.”

The sessions are as follows:

Friday 3rd June                    – Cockerton              9am – 5pm

Wednesday 8th June           – Northallerton          9am – 5pm
