Business surge sees Gbiz IT relocate to bigger offices

Popular Teesside technology specialists Gbiz IT are relocating to bigger premises after seeing a substantial growth in their business-to-business customer base.

Gbiz expanded rapidly through personal recommendations after setting up over fifteen years ago as a mobile PC repair service. They went on to open a small shop in Saltburn before relocating to a larger shop in Marske town centre thirteen years ago, and now employ six people.

But now, with over 200 direct business service clients totalling over 80% of their annual turnover compared to just 10% a decade ago, they are moving to new offices just a few miles up the road at Kirkleatham Business Park in Redcar.

Gbiz founder Garry Stonehouse, an IT professional for over 20 years, said: “This move allows us to focus on our core business services, as well as giving us room for future growth. Ten years ago, we had a mix of around 90% retail and 10% business services. We’ve now grown and developed to a point where we have over 200 direct business clients, and that now accounts for over 80% of our annual turnover. So, with more business customers than ever, it’s time to move into larger more suitable offices.

Our new offices at Kirkleatham are much better suited for our support services. We’ve got more space for our workshop repairs, and our new building has dedicated training rooms where we will be running our G Suite training and website training. Many of our business customers have already attended our training sessions and have asked us to provide more, now we have the space to do just that.”

The company will also continue to sell a range of home computers and accessories, as well as providing an IT repair service, and Garry said: “It only seems like yesterday when we opened our shop in Marske, and we’ve enjoyed a fantastic thirteen years. Marske is a fantastic town with a great community spirit, and a growing number of passionate independent shops and businesses creating a real buzz about the place. So I’m sure that whoever moves into our old shop is going to thoroughly enjoy being part of the town.”

Gbiz IT move into their new Kirkleatham offices this Friday, 1 November. Their contact details remain unchanged. Tel 01642 477200 or visit www.gbiz.uk
