ARC and the Cleveland Branch of CAMRA are delighted to announce that Ale & Arty is back for 2018 with a fantastic comedy and music line-up, not to mention a tempting array of more than 80 real ales, ciders, and perries.

The festival will take place on Thursday 22nd February, Friday 23rd February, and Saturday 24th February and tickets are on sale now.

Thursday night gets off to a rocking start with music from Class of 76, a new band with a stunning pedigree. Featuring members of Eddie & The Hotrods, The Members, The Vibrators and including musicians who have played with the likes of Wilko Johnson and Johnny Thunders, this is a show not to be missed.

Catch 22 Comedy Club provides the laughs on Friday evening with MC Matt Reed compering a stellar line-up including TV and radio regular Lloyd Langford and highly rated stand-up Ian Stone.

Proceedings are rounded off on Saturday night with enigmatic Tynesiders Big Red & The Grinners bringing their unique brand of musical revelry to The Point stage. Spinning their individual take on songs such as Technotronic’s Pump up the Jam and Jay Z’s 99 Problems via folk and country standards, they have to be experienced to be believed.

A spokesman for Cleveland CAMRA commented:

“Ale & Arty’s organisers are sourcing a superb range of real ales from breweries all over the U.K. We’re going to be offering a style of real ale to suit all palates and we’ll be including many light coloured ales to appeal to customers that usually drink lager. CAMRA also campaigns for real cider and perry made from 100% fresh apple and pear juice that is not artificially gassed up or processed and we’ll be showcasing eight real ciders and four perries reflecting this.
