A successful North East car-buying company has teed up a sponsorship deal with a regional golf professional to add some extra drive to his game.
Car-Ching is providing Tim Cockill with a brand new Citroen C4 Cactus for the 2016 season.
Originally from York, Tim moved to the North East to study for a degree in Sports Management at Northumbria University on a golf scholarship and is a fully qualified PGA Professional.
Having worked at a number of the North East’s best known courses, he joined Close House Golf Club as a PGA Teaching Professional in June 2012, and divides his time between teaching at the high profile Northumberland club and competing in PGA events around the North of England.
Car-Ching was set up last year by experienced motor industry professional Jason Miller, who runs the business with his wife Niki and who also owns the Overdrive North East car dealership in Morpeth.
The colourful branding of the Stannington-headquartered firm, which also has offices in Darlington, Alnwick, Blyth, Washington, Crawcrook and Bradford, features on Tim’s sponsored car, along with its www.car-ching.co.ukwebsite.
Jason Miller says: “We’re looking at different ways in which to raise the visibility and awareness of the Car-Ching brand around the region as part of the company’s development, and getting it out on the road in this way seemed like an ideal way to do just that.
“Tim is a dynamic, enthusiastic and very impressive young man who is building a good name for himself in the regional golfing community, and his association with the Close House brand adds further strength to the sponsorship agreement we’ve set up.”
Tim Cockill adds: “The generous sponsorship that Car-Ching is providing will make a big difference to the time I spend on the road travelling to various competitions around North East and North West England, and I’m sure the car will create a lot of conversation at the various venues at which I’ll be playing.”
