The outgoing Chairman of Hambleton District Council has handed over £785 to the Herriot Hospice.
Councillor Stephen Dickins chose the Northallerton based charity to support during his year in office.
“This is a very important local charity which does a marvellous job providing high quality hospice care and support to people affected by life limiting illness in their own homes,” he said.
“Hambleton District Council thinks very highly of this charity and I am delighted to have been able to support it.”
