Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Castle adds to its growing team

North East headquartered, The Castle Building Services Organisation (CBS) a leading building services contractor, has announced a significant promotion and a raft of new appointments as it continues to expand.

In recognition of his valuable contribution to the growth of the company to date, and CBS’s unwavering commitment to health, safety and wellbeing as well as compliance, Bill Ramage has been appointed as director responsible for these important areas of operation.

Bill has been with CBS for 13 years and during that time he has shaped the company’s policy and positive attitude towards ensuring that all staff, both on and off site, can expect to enjoy a safe working environment.

Congratulating Bill on his promotion, CBS’s commercial director, Andrew Dawson, said;

“I’m delighted to announce Bill’s new role as a director.  As a company we are growing steadily with new offices across Scotland, Yorkshire and the North West and with that growth comes more responsibility from a health and safety aspect and equally importantly, personal wellbeing, including mental health.  Bill has been instrumental in driving this area of the business.  I believe his elevated position both demonstrates and underpins our commitment to our employees and visitors to site.”

Of the fifteen new roles the contractor has recently created, four are based in the north east office and four have been created in Yorkshire as well as seven in Scotland. The roles span a range of levels and disciplines including quantity surveying and mechanical and electrical project management as well as tech support and supervisors.

The four new faces joining the growing team in the North East are estimating team assistant, Sharon Gee, mechanical compliance engineer, Richard Dunn and compliance administrator, Jemma Watson.

Following a period of secondment with the contractor, CBS has appointed Leanne Robinson in the key role of management accountant.

Speaking about CBS’s success at recruiting and retaining high calibre staff and specifically welcoming the new appointments to the team, Andrew commented:

“We have a tremendous depth of resource within CBS and the arrival of Sharon, Richard, Jemma and Leanne adds further strength to the team.  Each new arrival brings with them valuable experience within their own field and the construction industry, and I have every confidence they will all make a positive impact on the business.

Speaking about creating jobs outside the region, Dawson added:

“With the expansion of offices across the UK the key to CBS’s ongoing success, is selecting the right team within each region. We remain committed to sustainable job creation and providing employees with long-lasting and rewarding careers.”

Nationally, CBS currently employs in the region of 250 staff, including site operatives.
