North Shields’ newest and biggest activity centre is putting on a scary spook-tacular to raise money to help children with cancer.

Xtreme Bounce, based at Royal Quays, is pulling out all the stops to put on a day of frightening fun – with all members of staff ‘spooked-up’ and gruesome food put on for children aged five and over.

And thrill-seekers who come along to the venue’s first ever Halloween event on Tuesday 31st October from 5pm-8pm will be helping out Teenage Cancer Trust, with part of the entrance fee and collections on the night going to the charity.

Centre Manager Jennifer Newman said: “We have only been here since July but from the very day we opened our doors I’ve been wanting to put on the biggest and best Halloween party North Shields has ever seen, and use the event to raise money for charity.

“We are all about kids at Xtreme Bounce and we want to do something for those young people who really need a bit of help and support.

“We will be donating some of the money we take on the door as well as what we collect on the day to Teenage Cancer Trust, who do some amazing work in the North East and further afield.

“We have gone all out to make this the most frighteningly fun day for children. Anyone five and over can come along and try out our awesome obstacles and games while getting spooked out at the same time.

“It should be an amazing day, and hopefully we’ll raise loads of money for an incredibly important cause.”

The 25,000 sq ft centre features more than 12 activities for children of all ages. As well as dozens of trampolines, there are battle beams, a cardio wall, a super soft play area and even a ninja warrior challenge.

The centre is also putting on a Toddler Halloween Party, for children 4 and under, today (31st) from 9am until midday.

There will be a Halloween buffet, party games, face painting, craft corner and lots more.
