Christmas takes off at The Manors

Christmas celebrations at The Manors Extra Care scheme in Prudhoe took off in style at their Christmas fair.

As well as traditional Christmas stalls and a raffle, residents, their families and members of the local community were treated to a carol service by the Prudhoe Singers and a falconry display.

The event was organised by Karbon Homes which owns and manages the scheme consisting of 46 high quality one and two bedroom apartments to rent or purchase on a shared ownership basis.

The company has organised similar Christmas events at two of its other Extra Care schemes in Alnwick and Chester-le-Street which were both well received.

Mark Pae, Activities Co-ordinator at The Manors, said: “It was lovely to bring all residents and the local community together to celebrate Christmas. The carols sung by members of the Prudhoe Singers were beautiful and the residents really enjoyed the falconry display where they could get up close and learn more about the birds.

“I would like to thank our partners who came along to speak to residents about the services they provide.”

Some of the partners attending on the day were Age UK Northumberland, Alzheimer’s Society, Falconry Days Northumberland and Adderlane Academy.
