Refuse and recycling collections across Hambleton will be affected by the Christmas and New Year holidays.
All collections will be one day earlier next week – apart from collections that would normally take place on Monday 21 December taking place two days earlier on Saturday 19 December. Householders are asked to refer to their bin tag which details changes to refuse and recycling collection dates over the festive season. Alternatively collection dates can be checked on hambleton.gov.uk
Festive trees will be collected for recycling in a special green collection on week commencing January 11. Trees must be placed in the bin and chopped up if necessary so that the lid is closed for the safety of the crew.
Alternatively trees can be taken to the household waste recycling centres at Sandholme Lane, Sowerby; Yafforth Road, Northallerton; Leeming Bar Industrial Estate; Stokesley Industrial Estate and Tholthorpe for composting. The sites are open from 8.30am until 4pm. They are closed on December 25 and 26, January 1 and every Wednesday.
