A long established and leading Darlington law firm have appointed a new solicitor to its expanding team.

Close Thornton, based on Duke Street in Darlington have recently appointed Rob Steer, a qualified solicitor to its conveyancing department.

The firm have been established in the town for over 70 years and have built an excellent reputation for both private and commercial clients.

The firm handles a considerable amount of conveyancing work and this looks set to continue growing.

Rob, who is from Darlington, graduated from Northumbria University in 2011 with a degree in law. He then went on to gain experience in professional practices across the region.  He qualified as a solicitor in October 2015 and has a range of experience within the residential and commercial property sector.

Having attended Longfield School and then attended Queen Elizabeth 6th Form College, Rob is now returning to his home roots.

He will be involved in all aspects of domestic conveyancing in the firm and support the team with further development.

Rob said, “I am really enjoying being part of the team at Close Thornton.  It is a lovely place to work and I am pleased to be part of such a great team.  It is also good to be back working in my home town.  The firm have exciting plans for the future and I am really looking forward to being involved in supporting that.”
