Lord David Puttnam, the Oscar-winning film producer who has worked with the likes of Robert De Niro and Ridley Scott, will be in the North East for a FREE talk on the rise, fall, and rebirth of the big screen musical.
Held at the University of Sunderland on Monday, November 27, the talk is a must for all fans of film, theatre and the arts, and will be covering his famous works Bugsy Malone and Local Hero; discussing how soundtracks can become almost as famous as the films themselves.
The session is interactive so is a chance to question Lord Puttnam about his experiences from over four decades of working in film, and is an essential opportunity for anyone hoping to break into the industry.
The Rise, Fall and Rebirth of the Musical will be held on Friday, November 27, from 10.30am-12.30pm, in Room 009 of the Prospect Building, Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peters. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance from the University Online Store.
