Closing Date Looming for Hambleton Business Awards

209Time is running out for entries to be submitted to Hambleton’s annual business awards.

Business leaders and residents have just 12 days left to nominate a business or individual they think is worthy of recognition.

The District Council’s awards – which take place in July – showcases the range and diversity of businesses in the area and celebrates their achievements.

They acknowledge and celebrate business achievements and the exceptional contributions people within these businesses have made Nominations must be made by May 23 for one of the nine awards:

Apprenticeship Champion: for the apprentice funded through Hambleton District Council scheme who has developed most in the role

Graduate Champion: for the graduate funded through Hambleton District Council scheme who has developed most in the role

Community Contribution: for the business contributing most to the community.

Local is Best: for the business most committed to employing local people or sourcing products and services locally.

Innovation: for the business demonstrating most innovation in marketing, design, manufacturing or performance of services

Engaging Young Minds: for the business most engaged with schools and education in the area

Hambleton Champion: for the business which has championed Hambleton as a great place to do business

Learning and development: for the business which has most supported the training and development of its staff.

Best dressed windows/displays: for the business with the most impressive or attractive window/internal display for customers.

Sponsors for the event include the Federation of Small Businesses, Star Radio and Dales of Thirsk.
