Coast & Country Wins Health & Safety Award for Second Year Running

image003Coast & Country has been recognised with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold award at the annual RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015.

It is the second time that Coast & Country has won the award, which acknowledges the company’s commitment to Health and Safety. The award is judged on employees’ contributions to health and safety; making sure that safety is always a top priority within the organisation and that the correct systems are in place to achieve a healthy and safe environment.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is a UK charity that works to reduce the number of accidents at the workplace and save lives as a result. The charity has held the RoSPA Awards for the past 59 years, which honour businesses and organisations which are making continuous improvements to prevent accidents and ill health in the work place.

Entrants are judged by a panel that considers the overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Coast & Country will be presented with its Gold Award at RoSPA’s annual ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel at the National Exhibition Centre on Tuesday July 14th.

Lyn Peacock, Head of Corporate Assurance at Coast & Country said; “Everyone at Coast & Country is delighted to have won the RoSPA Gold Award for the second year in a row. A lot of hard work goes into making Coast & Country a safe place to work and it is fantastic to see this recognised once again.

“The fact that we have won the Gold Award for the second year in a row shows the dedication to health and safety. Coast & Country strives for continuous improvement and will apply for the RoSPA awards again in 2016.”

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as Coast & Country, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”
