Upstairs Barca & Lola Jean’s , Tynemouth
Upstairs Barca is one of Tynemouth’s most exciting venues located on Front Street in the village above Barca Artbar. For the past two years, the venue has been running a series of EXPO nights, with internationally renowned DJs such as Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead, CJ Mackintosh, Jeremy Healy and Brandon Block performing to capacity audiences, as well as building a reputation for a wide range of events and private parties in a unique setting.
Director Marty Smith of Upstairs Barca is delighted to announce today that for the month of December, Upstairs Barca will be joining forces with another regional success story, award winning bar and restaurant business, Lola Jean’s.
Says Marty Smith:
“We were looking to up our game in terms of the food offering for parties and events, and with Lola Jean’s being a close neighbour we got talking. Their creative style of catering really complements what we’re aiming for in terms of a relaxed style of social dining, so it made perfect sense to join forces.”
For the month of December, Upstairs Barca and Lola Jean’s will be offering a banquet style menu from 12 noon until late aied at the office and group party market – on a booking only basis and for a minimum of 5 people per group.
Says Paul Sample, owner of Lola Jean’s :
‘We are extremely proud of the food offering in all of our venues and have put together a festive banquet made up of all of your Lola’s favorites and Christmas classics. So, no choosing what you want to eat 3 months before Christmas! Basically we will ask groups for their likes, dislikes and dietary requirements and then plan a bespoke ‘banquet’ for each booking! What’s not to like?”

The Christmas Banquets for parties will be available from 3rd December priced at £25.95 per head, but booking is essential. There will also be a selection of Christmas cocktails on the menu as well as Barca’s usual collection of beers, wines and spirits.
