Commitment Rewarded for Tim Sedgewick

One of the North’s leading firms of Chartered Surveyors H&H Land & Estates announce the promotion and appointment of Head of Land Agency (North East) 

As the company expands its geographical coverage, H&H Land & Estates has announced the promotion of one of its key members of staff in its Durham Office, Tim Sedgewick to Head of Land Agency (North East).  In this new role and as a key member of the company’s newly formed Operations Team, Tim will work with Director David Quayle to further grow and develop the company’s profile and portfolio throughout the region.

Tim who joined H&H Land & Estates in 2012, graduated from Harper Adams University College with a Degree in Business Management and Marketing. During his time with the company he has gone on the complete his Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Estate & Land Management.  He is a fully qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and on successfully completing his Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) exams, he was awarded the Alistair Turnbull Trophy, N B Stephenson Memorial Award and Talbot Ponsonby Prize for securing the highest marks locally, regionally and nationally.

Brought up on a farm in South Durham and part of the agricultural community all his life, he enjoys helping his family when time allows. He is also the Chairman of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I.) County Durham and CAAV Northumbria and Cumbria Junior Valuers.

On accepting the promotion Tim said: “I am thrilled to accept this promotion and I am looking forward to building on our achievements to date.  These are both interesting and challenging times for the property, farming and wider rural industries and certainly our single most important aim is to help our customers to negotiate through the advice available to them and to provide support so that they can find the true potential of their businesses for the future.”

H&H Land & Estates is one of the leading firms of independent rural property advisors operating across the North of England and Scottish Borders. Its land agency department advises businesses and the agricultural sector at all levels, with services including farm business advice, estate management, farm sales, landlord and tenant matters, utility work, land management and development.

As well as valuations, Tim‘s areas of expertise are sales and acquisitions of rural properties of any size, agribusiness and rural support schemes, agricultural tenancies and the legalities surrounding them, dispute resolution such as boundary disputes and rights of way, and compensation claims, for example, with utilities companies.
