Committee to Outline Key Priorities

Screen Shot 2016-04-07 at 12.07.36Members of South Tyneside Council’s Place Select Committee will discuss their priorities for the rest of the year when they meet next Tuesday (19 April).

Committee members will outline what areas they would like to focus on going forward including culture, housing and environmental issues.

Following this the members will agree on a programme of work that the committee will carry out to investigate and report on local issues which affect residents across the Borough.

Councillor Nancy Maxwell, Committee Chairman, said: “At the beginning of the new financial year we discuss the committee’s priorities for the year ahead and create work programme to ensure all of the areas we want to focus on can be covered by the committee.

“Local people are welcome to come along to the meeting to find out about the work of the Council’s Place Committee and our priorities for the year ahead.”

Members of the press and public are welcome to attend the meeting, which takes place at 10am, onTuesday 19 April, at Hebburn Central, Glen Street, Hebburn.
