Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Community Spirit of Christmas Comes to the Parkway

Community champion Parkway Shopping Centre is set to bring Christmas cheer to elderly residents in the Coulby Newham area, by hosting its very own Christmas party.

The tea party organised by Parkway’s Centre Manager Zoe France, will see a number of different community groups working together to give elderly residents a day to remember.

Zoe France says: “We are very fortunate that we have amazing people working in our area, who want to make a difference to others lives.  We have  teamed up with Stephen Falconer, General Manager  at the Rainbow Centre, who has kindly given us the venue and Alison George, Customer Experience Manager from Tesco Coulby Newham  who will be providing all the food for a festive high tea.”

The event is set to take place in the main sports hall at The Hub, Coulby Newham  on Wednesday 6th December from 2pm -4pm. Guests will have been previously identified through care providers working in the local area and will therefore be Invite only.

External agencies will also be on hand to offer party goers help and advice should they require it. These include; Age UK, Tesco Pharmacy, Cleveland Fire Support Network,  Middlesbrough Staying Put Agency & Boots Pharmacy.

Alison George says:” Tesco Coulby Newham are proud to be working within the local community”

Zoe continues, “Although it’s a fun filled time of year for many people, there are many lonely people who often don’t get the chance to get out the house and meet others. Hopefully this event will give guests an afternoon of entertainment, raffles and gift giveaways, along with access to lots of relevant information and support agencies.”
