A peaceful garden where residents can go for quiet contemplation has been created at the exclusive Wynyard Park housing development.

Final touches are being made to the 2000 sq metre area that has been carefully designed to provide a tranquil spot for residents to enjoy.

The gardens encompass a range of beds featuring over £15,000 worth of planting including a mixture of herbaceous perennials to provide a colourful display alongside a range of large and multi-stem trees and shrubs. All plants and shrubs have been specially chosen and grown for the garden.

In addition four new bespoke benches sit beside manicured lawns that surround a central circular seating area.  Other features include an oak frame gazebo, a natural stone obelisk and box yew hedging lining the paths to guide people through the garden and into the adjoining woodland area.

Wynyard Park’s Development Manager, Craig Pinder, said that the gardens are part of investment of over £100,000 to date in landscaping at the 180 acre estate, designed to create a unique and high quality living environment.

“We set out to create a peaceful, natural area where people can relax and be away from things for a while. As the trees and plants mature the garden will soon become a magnificent setting within our estate.”

Paul Bradley, a Wynyard Park resident of almost two years said: “The transformation within the development has been stunning. I work away and every time I return home I’m amazed at the new features and improvements that keep happening.

“And I’m told this is just the tip of the iceberg.”

Further work will continue to resurface a track to the rear of the garden that will lead through the picturesque woodland setting and link both end of the contemplation garden.

Wynyard Park is an exclusive housing development set amongst woodland that includes a range of homes from entry level and executive houses from national housebuilders to areas created specifically for self-build.

It is located between Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees and is accessed via entrances on the A689 between the A19 and the A1.
