For the second year running, Anna ‘Cordelia’ Mason of Cordelia & Co has won a coveted prize at the North of England Wedding Awards (NOEWA) and this year she went one better, by winning the Judges Choice Award.
Anna is a Guisborough based make up artist who has demonstrated again her strengths in professional service skills and value to clients by winning this honour at the popular wedding awards.
Her business, Cordelia & Co, specialises in wedding make-up in Yorkshire and the Northeast and was a finalist in the Health & Beauty category, for which she awarded in 2014.
Having been pipped to the post this year, she was awarded with the Judges Choice Award 2015 in acknowledgement of her amazing achievements in professional quality of her service, customer satisfaction and value for money.
Having received excellent reviews in all of her nominations, Anna was thrilled to have been selected for this top prize at the award evening held at York Racecourse.
Anna said: “I was astounded to have been given this award, as the quality of all the categories was so high. Being singled out by the Judges particularly is a real thrill and will help me to continue to grow my business in Yorkshire and the Northeast.
I really enjoy working with my lovely brides and it is always enjoyable being part of someone’s special day.”
One of the judges Dawn Marie, an experienced wedding and event planner, who has been a judge since the awards began in 2011 added:
“Judging the awards is an extremely difficult job – sometimes it is virtually impossible to separate the top one or two from categories when these companies put their heart and soul into their work. The Judges Choice Awards lets us recognise when it has been almost impossible to choose one over another. Anna is a very deserving recipient of this award.”
The NOEWA awards have been running for four years and were this year inundated with nominations to showcase the best businesses in the wedding service providers in Yorkshire and the Northeast.
Anna trained at the School of Beauty and Makeup in London and has completed around 52 wedding already this year, with 18 in August alone.
She even found time over the summer to train with Val Garland, the internationally recognised fashion make-up artist, to continue to build on her skills and provide inspiration for her brides of 2016.
Anna will capitalise on her recent success and continue to work both in the UK and abroad on a range of wedding based fashion shoots.
