Plymouth Raiders are delighted to announce that fan favourite Dylan Costelloe will return to the club for the 2017/18 season.

The 6’3″ guard, from Galway in Ireland, played a pivotal role for the Raiders in the 2015/16 season when he stepped up to the starting point guard position for 11 of the 26 games, where he proved he was up to the challenge of competing at BBL level.

Costelloe, who has featured in the Irish international squad at both junior and senior levels, is currently studying Geography at the University of Plymouth, with two more years left of his studies.

“I am delighted to be back playing with the Raiders,” he said. “It is a very exciting time for the club with the new direction and under new management.

“After talking with Coach Love and the new owners I know this new-look club is going to be a good fit for me for what I hope to achieve this year. I am looking forward to the challenges to come this season, working with Coach Love and the rest of the team, and I can’t wait to see the fans when we return to the Pavilions in September.”

Plymouth Raiders’ head coach Gavin Love added: “It’s great to have Dylan return to the Plymouth Raiders; he was a real fan favourite and had some very solid performances in the BBL.

“I know he is looking to take his game to the next level and compete for consistent playing time this season. He gives us depth at the point guard position and with Neil Watson he has an accomplished player in front of him to learn from.”

Costelloe is Coach Love’s sixth signing for Raiders this summer as he continues to build a team capable of competing for BBL silverware.
