The event, at the company’s flagship store in Newton Aycliffe, will include a number of activities designed to entertain the kids during the school holidays, such as crafty make and take sessions, face painting and demonstrations.
During the weekend there will also be a number of in-store promotions and product launches for visitors to experience.
“We wanted to create an event that would get the whole family crafting together during the school holidays,” said Sara Davies, founder of Crafter’s Companion.
“Craft is such an enjoyable hobby for a lot of people and we want to inspire the next generation to get crafting too.
“The store really is a community hub where people can come and learn more about craft and try out some new skills. We hope people will come and join us for a day out and get involved.”
The event, which starts on Saturday 27th August and runs until Monday 29th August, is open to everybody free of charge. VIP tickets to the three-day event, which cost £5 each, are also available and include entry, lunch and a goody bag worth £30.
Amy Rodger, store manager for the company’s Newton Aycliffe outlet said, “Myself and all the staff are really looking forward to the weekend. We’ve got so much going on, including some really great activities, the introduction of some exciting new products and a load of special promotions. There really is something for everyone.”
