New event series, Digital Dojo, will feature the man behind the first-ever viral ad, a prison officer turned celebrity photographer and the founding director of Scotland’s most successful digital media company.

Launching on 29 June Digital Dojo is a quarterly event series featuring leading experts from across the creative and digital sector. The event series will demonstrate how to overcome business, social and economic problems through collaboration and creative thinking.

The first headline speaker is former Honda marketing director, Chris Brown, who will explore the future of branding. Brown brought Honda to fame through adverts including The Cog, the diesel animation (hate something change something) and the Impossible Dream.

Brown said: “The market is rapidly evolving with disruptive brands, click-bait, austerity and the political landscape changing consumers views and expectations.  I believe that brands must entertain society in order to survive this continual shifting market.”

Aimed at business leaders, entrepreneurs and industry professionals, Digital Dojo is the brainchild of rapidly expanding North East digital creative agency, Double Concentrate.

Andy Kilburn, Founder and Creative Director at Double Concentrate, said: “Problems and hurdles will always arise in business and some are unavoidable. By knowledge sharing, creative thinking and collaboration businesses can find effective solutions to overcome them. We created Digital Dojo to share techniques and ignite innovative resolutions through teaching and learning.

“We’ve lined-up industry experts who have a wealth of experience and real life case studies for attendees to learn from. During the event we will also be solving real life problems that attendees are currently battling.”

Speaking at the autumn Digital Dojo event will be former Chief Commercial Officer at Sky Scanner and founder of Scotland’s most successful digital media company, Frank Skivington. Skivington will share his experience and insight on growing a business globally.

Prison officer turned celebrity photographer and Ted Talk speaker, David Eustace, is confirmed to speak later in the series.

The first Digital Dojo event will take place at the Toffee Factory on 29 June from 6pm. To register you interest for the event contacteliza@doubleconcentrate.com.
