Milton Keynes, 3-11-2025 – CUPRA UK has teamed up with Baller League UK for a second successive season as the league’s Official Automotive Partner. The UK’s second season of the thrilling, high-energy six-a-side professional football league kicked off at the Copper Box on Monday 27th October.
Redefining football, Baller League UK is a fast-paced and energetic environment, bringing together elite talent, unrivalled matchups, and an electrifying atmosphere. With dynamic rules, 30-minute games, and Gamechanger twists, Baller League UK is a true blend of football, culture, and entertainment.
CUPRA, having sponsored the game changing inaugural season, will be expanding its involvement this coming season by partnering the Becoming a Baller documentary series, which is broadcast directly to the Baller League UK YouTube channel and social platforms. The disruptive brand will also provide the Manager Cam, which gives fans a unique insight into the touchline drama and excitement this season.
A fleet of electric CUPRA Tavascan’s will chauffeur the squads and their iconic managers to the Copper Box Arena for each matchday. This year’s managers are made up of former professional footballers including Micah Ricards, Ian Wright and Alan Shearer, current pros Chloe Kelly and Alisha Lehmann, and cultural stars away from the sport, including Maya Jama, Angry Ginge, and Niko Omilana. Icon of the screen and CUPRA KIRO Formula E team investor, Idris Elba, has also joined Baller League this season as a manager.
Continuing from last season, CUPRA will be presenting the half-time challenge in the Copper Box, offering fans a unique chance to become a Baller League legend, and win the weekly cash prize.
Marcus Gossen, Managing Director of SEAT and CUPRA UK, said: “Baller League UK was an enormous success for us earlier this season. At CUPRA, we’ve always been driven to embrace the disruptive and innovative spirit, and Baller League embodies that entirely. We’re building on the successes of last season and look forward to our second consecutive season as Official Automotive Partner.”
Felix Starck, Baller League CEO, said: “We’re delighted to have CUPRA as the Official Automotive Partner for the second and returning season of Baller League UK. A game like Baller League, that thrives on being different, modern, and disruptive, ultimately requires partners who think and excel in the same philosophy.”
The second season of Baller League UK kicks off on Monday 27 October, with more emerging football stars being given the chance to make a name for themselves under the guidance of the star-studded managerial line-up. The competition will run across 11 Mondays, followed by the Final Four showdown to crown the season two Baller League UK champions. Each matchday consists of six 30-minute matches of two halves, with each half ending with a unique twist to the rules for the final three minutes, adding further excitement and jeopardy to proceedings.
Similarly to the first season, every match from the second season of Baller League UK will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch, with a crowd of over 4,500 in attendance at the Copper Box Arena.
