Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

DISCOVER WINTER WIZARDRY

ONE of the North East’s most spellbinding venues is preparing to wave a wand over winter for a truly magical party.

On Friday 13 December, Newcastle’s Discovery Museum will throw a spectacular shared party night in its impressive Great Hall – and this year the theme of the evening is Winter Wizardry.

The impressive venue will host guests to a laden buffet with entertainment and dancing – and early bird bookers can enjoy reduced price tickets.

The event is organised by the Museum’s catering and events partner, Sodexo. One of the UK’s leading catering and event management companies, it operates in more than 50 unique and unusual venues including Royal Ascot, RHS Chelsea Flower Show, IWM London and Newcastle United Football Club.

Chefs at The Discovery Museum have lined up a buffet banquet with dishes such as roast leek, cheddar and mushroom Wellington, honey roasted ham with piccalilli and cod goujons with paprika mayonnaise, followed by an assortment of cakes and gateaux.

Guests are encouraged to attend in their most elaborate and creative witch and wizard outfits and there will be a prize for the best costume on the night.

Joanne Everett, sales and events executive at Sodexo, said: “The Great Hall at Discovery Museum is truly magical to start with and, with the addition of themed decorations, will provide a fabulous, supernatural setting for a wonderfully witchy start to the festive season.”

The event begins at 7pm, with carriages at 11.45pm and tickets cost £49.95. However, those who book before 31 July can purchase tickets for just £45 each.
