Don’t Miss your Final Green Waste Collection of the Year

Residents across Stockton Borough are being reminded that the Council’s kerbside green waste collections are due to end shortly until spring 2017.

Final collections for 2016 will take place week commencing Monday 26 September for blue customers and week commencing Monday 3 October for red customers.

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Care for Your Area team will continue to collect blue bags, boxes and white bags throughout the year.

Residents who wish to dispose of any green waste after the kerbside collections have finished can take it to the Household Waste Recycling Facility at Haverton Hill.

Opening hours at the facility are 8am to 7pm until 31 October 2016 and 8am to 6pm from 1 November 2016 to 31 March 2017.

Councillor Mike Smith, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Housing, said: “The final collections are an ideal opportunity for residents to clear their property of any green waste in a straight forward and convenient way. These collections allow residents to spruce up their properties with the assurance that they can dispose of their waste.
